Description

Crowdfunding is fast becoming one of the most popular ways for creative entrepreneurs to raise money for their projects. But is it as easy as it sounds? If you post it, will they give? What is really involved in a crowdfunding campaign?

In this workshop, we’ll look at the anatomy of a crowdfunding campaign — developing the idea, creating a compelling pitch, strategic planning and implementation.

  • Develop a compelling message that attracts funders
  • Create a roadmap for a successful campaign.
  • Avoid time-wasting mistakes and learn what actions actually work
  • The giant myth responsible for the high failure rate of most campaigns and how to avoid their fate
  • Learn the secret tips and tricks of successful crowd-funders

Students will leave with a solid action plan to put in place.

Crista Cloutier is the founder of The Working Artist. She built her business using the money she raised through crowdfunding. Since then she has taught other crowdfunders around the world how to launch their own successful campaign. This workshop will most likely be one of her last teaching this topic in person - so if you're free make sure you don't miss out!

Our mission is to help you thrive in a changing art world.

Founded in 2012 by Art World Entrepreneur Susan Mumford, the progam helps you thrive in a changing world.

Based out of London, England, with a developing event program and Membership community in the Tri-State area as well as Central Arkansas (Susan's childhood home), a founding principle is access to information with the employment of technology.

Accordingly, the online-accessible Members Gateway is updated on a weekly basis, which includes opportunities (art prizes, residencies / fellowships, fairs and more), webinars / audio recordings of BSAA events and talks, templates for your art business, and more.

Additionally, digitally-accessible professional development workshops are already available to purchase and download, and more are being made available for the second half of 2017.

For individuals and organisations seeking custom support, the Creative Specialist Advisors provide one-to-one support, with specialism ranging from business planning to artist-to-artist coaching.

Freely accessible information is also available via , noting the many hundreds of blog posts in addition to a selection of videos. Enjoy!
